Well how do we define poverty?
Poverty is defined as the lack of basic human needs, such as clean water, nutrition health care, education, clothing and shelther, because of the inability to afford them.
I give you a realistic case that I read it in The Star Online this morning, I found this article about this woman where her husband died and she have to feed her children. (please click HERE). A fact that you barely can see from this article is, we still have people that can't afford to buy to self-sustain their live. And another fact that we can scan is, this woman only given a little help as low as RM 400 per month by the welfare department as living cost. If you are given RM 400, how do you spend this money? She has to feed her bunch of children, and can their children be able to go to school?She feeds her children with oatmeal and often skip the lunch and dinner. Please imagine this. I personally feel, it is not the people who in need that need to seek for the aid for the welfare. I feel, they are in a very low esteem mode caused by the depression of the bad accidents that happened in their family members. This cause they always refuse to find the welfare department for aid. I believe their a lot of NGO's out there which are still not discovered by the people.
My advice is, FIND THEM and not the welfare department being found by the poor

In many profession,the minimum basic salary will be at least RM 1800 per month. However, we never know how to we spend it wisely. When we think of the people that desperately in need, we shall think of how they spend the money which is FOUR times lesser than what you got. Please don't complain on how hardship is your life as I believe, there's a lot more people who is in poverty in Malaysia. Give some response to it.

very true.. many are earning thousands and still saying not enough.. must know how to budget and stuff.. unlike rich people like jho low lah, can spend like money flow.. =/
yeah..money is not easy to be earned.but, i still feel sympathy to the poor families as they really restricted with money. And people that earn thousands per month keep on saying is it not enough. Then I just guess what is enough to the poor people? The moment I imagine how the poor people spend their money, I feel sad.I feel touched on how a mother feeds their children with only oatmeals and they often skipped their lunch and dinner.
